Precise Beat Metronome supports the following time signatures:
Tap the time signature control on the Home tab to switch between them. You can also tap individual beats in the rhythm ring to mark them as accent, normal, or muted.
Choose from 16 built-in metronome sounds — including Standard Click, Wooden Metronome, Basic Drum, Soft Beep, Rock Heavy Click, Jazz Drum, Hip-Hop Beat, and more — to match your practice style or genre. Each sound has its own independent volume control, separate from your device's system volume.
The Preset tab includes 8 built-in scene presets (e.g. Guitar Practice, Drum Rehearsal, Vocal Training, Road Running, Hip-Hop Dance, Aerobic Exercise, Pop Production, Jazz Performance), each pre-configured with a tempo, time signature, and sound. You can also:
Enable Vibration Sync in Settings to feel a haptic pulse synchronized with each beat — useful for noisy environments or silent practice.
Enable Background Playback in Settings to let the metronome keep clicking after you lock your screen or switch to another app — handy for practicing while reading sheet music elsewhere or exercising with your phone in your pocket.
Enable Screen Always On in Settings to prevent your device from auto-locking while the metronome is running, so the BPM display stays visible.
Set an auto-stop duration (Off, 1, 3, or 5 minutes) in Settings so the metronome automatically stops after your practice session — great for timed drills.
Choose Light, Dark, or Auto (follows your system setting) under Settings → Display Mode.
Does Precise Beat Metronome require an internet connection?
No. The App works 100% offline. All metronome functions, sounds, presets, and settings work without any network connection.
Does the App require an account or sign-in?
No. There is no account system. You can use every feature immediately after installing the App.
Is this a subscription or does it have in-app purchases?
No. Precise Beat Metronome is a one-time, buy-to-own purchase. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no locked features.
Will the metronome keep playing if I lock my screen?
Yes, if you enable Background Playback in Settings. The App registers as a background audio app so iOS keeps the click sound running while the screen is locked or you're in another app.
How accurate is the timing?
Precise Beat Metronome uses Apple's display-synchronized timing engine to keep beat timing accurate to within a few milliseconds across the full 30–250 BPM range.
Does the App access my camera, photos, or microphone?
No. Precise Beat Metronome does not request or use camera, photo library, or microphone access — these permissions are not needed for any feature of the App.
Where is my data stored?
All custom presets, sound selections, and settings are stored locally on your device using iOS system storage. Nothing is transmitted to external servers. Uninstalling the App removes all data.
Does Precise Beat Metronome collect any personal data?
No. The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, and contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete a custom preset?
On the Preset tab, swipe on a custom preset and tap Delete. A confirmation dialog will appear before the preset is permanently removed.
The app isn't working properly. What should I do?
Try force-quitting and relaunching the App. If issues persist, please email us at daibou007@gmail.com with details about the problem and your device model & iOS version.
