How to Use PDF Forge Pro

📂 1. Importing & Managing PDFs

PDF Forge Pro stores all your documents locally — no cloud required.

Import a PDF — Tap the + button in the top-right of the home screen, then choose a PDF from Files or any document provider.

Scan a Document — Tap ⋯ → Scan Document to open the multi-page scan editor. Tap the dashed [+] to add pages via the camera, long-press and drag to reorder, tap ↻ to rotate, or tap ✕ to delete individual pages. All pages are merged into a single PDF when you tap Done.

Manage Documents — Swipe or tap ⋯ on any document row to Share, Duplicate, or Delete it. Use the sort menu to order by name, date, or file size.

✏️ 2. Annotating PDFs

Open any document and tap the toolbar to select an annotation tool:

Highlight — Select text on the page, then tap the Highlight tool to mark it in yellow.
Underline — Select text, then tap Underline to add a blue underline.
Strikethrough — Select text, then tap Strikethrough to cross it out in red.
Ink Drawing — Tap the Pen tool and draw freely on the page. Adjust color and stroke thickness with the sliders.
Text Note — Tap the Text tool, then tap anywhere on the page to add a text annotation.

💡 Tip: Highlight, Underline, and Strikethrough only activate after you select text on the PDF page. Tap and hold to start a text selection.

✍️ 3. Adding Signatures

PDF Forge Pro supports both hand-drawn and typed signatures:

Go to Settings → Manage Signatures (or tap ⋯ → Manage Signatures on the home screen).
Tap + to create a new signature — choose Draw to sign with your finger or Apple Pencil, or Type to enter your name in a signature font.
Signatures can be protected with Face ID / Touch ID for security.
To place a signature on a PDF, open the document, tap the Signature tool in the toolbar, select your saved signature, and drag it into position.

🔍 4. Searching Within a PDF

Open any document and tap the magnifying glass icon in the toolbar. Enter your search term — all matching pages and occurrences are listed below. Tap a result to jump directly to that location in the document.

📋 5. Filling PDF Forms

PDF Forge Pro automatically detects fillable form fields in PDF documents:

Open a PDF that contains form fields.
Tap any text field, checkbox, or dropdown to fill it in.
Tap Save when done — your filled form is saved locally.

🗂️ 6. Merge & Split PDFs

Combine multiple PDFs or extract pages from a single document:

Merge — Tap ⋯ → Merge & Split on the home screen. Select two or more PDFs and tap Merge to combine them into a new document.

Split — Select a document and choose how to split it: every individual page, every N pages, or a custom page range.

📤 7. Sharing & Exporting

Tap ⋯ on any document row and choose Share to send the PDF via AirDrop, Mail, Messages, or save it to Files. All annotations and signatures are embedded in the exported PDF.

⚙️ 8. Settings

Theme — Switch between Light, Dark, or System (follows iOS setting).
Biometric Authentication — Enable Face ID / Touch ID to protect signature access.
Clear Cache — Remove temporary files to free storage space. Saved signatures are never affected by this.
Storage Usage — View how much space your documents are using and how much total storage is occupied.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does PDF Forge Pro require an internet connection?

No. PDF Forge Pro is 100% offline. All features — editing, annotating, signing, scanning, merging, splitting — work without any internet connection.

Where are my PDFs stored?

All PDFs and signatures are stored locally on your device in the Application Support directory. Nothing is uploaded to iCloud, Dropbox, or any external server.

Are my signatures secure?

Yes. Signatures are encrypted and stored in the iOS Keychain. If you enable biometric authentication, Face ID or Touch ID is required to access them.

Can I edit text inside a PDF?

PDF Forge Pro supports annotation-based editing (highlights, notes, ink drawings, text overlays) and form-filling for PDFs with form fields. Direct editing of embedded PDF text is not supported — this is a limitation of the PDF format on iOS.

How do I scan a multi-page document?

Tap ⋯ → Scan Document on the home screen. Tap the dashed [+] to scan a new page using the camera — each capture is confirmed before adding. In the pages grid, you can long-press and drag pages to reorder them, tap ↻ to rotate 90°, or tap ✕ to delete a page. Tap Done to merge all pages into one PDF. The app uses Vision framework to automatically detect and correct document edges.

Does PDF Forge Pro collect any personal data?

No. The app makes zero network requests and contains no analytics or advertising frameworks. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I restore a deleted document?

Deleted documents cannot be recovered — they are permanently removed from the device. We recommend using iOS Files app or iCloud Backup to keep copies of important PDFs before deleting them from PDF Forge Pro.

The app crashed or isn't working properly. What should I do?

Try force-quitting and relaunching the app. If issues persist, please email us at daibou007@gmail.com with your device model and iOS version.
