How to Use Beat Forger
🎵 1. Basic Metronome Controls
Step 1 — Tap the large play button to start the metronome. The pulsing display shows the current beat in real time.
Step 2 — Tap the BPM number on the display to open the tempo picker. Use the slider or +/- buttons to adjust from 1 to 300 BPM.
Step 3 — Tap the time signature chip below the display to change it. Choose from presets like 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/8, and more.
Step 4 — Tap the subdivision or sound kit chips to customize rhythm and click sound.
💡 Tip: The metronome supports 1–300 BPM with 1 BPM precision for professional accuracy.
🎼 2. Subdivisions & Accent Patterns
Subdivisions — Choose from quarter notes, eighths, sixteenths, triplets, quintuplets, sextuplets, and septuplets for complex rhythmic patterns.
Accent Patterns — Customize accent levels for each beat: ghost notes, normal beats, accented beats, and rim shots. Create polyrhythmic patterns with independent voices.
Sound Kits — Select from 6 sound kits: Classic Wood, Electronic, Drum Kit, Cowbell, Rimshot, and Hi-Hat.
⏱ 3. Practice Timer & History
Step 1 — Go to the Practice tab and tap Start to begin a timed practice session. The metronome starts automatically.
Step 2 — Tap Stop when done. Your session is saved with duration, BPM, and sound kit info. A streak badge shows your consecutive practice days.
Step 3 — Tap the calendar or statistics entries to view your practice calendar (with intensity dots) and detailed stats (total time, streak, averages).
Step 4 — Tap the clock icon in the top-right to view your full session history.
🚀 4. Speed Drill Mode
Step 1 — Go to the Speed Drill tab to set up progressive tempo training.
Step 2 — Configure start BPM, end BPM, step size, and bars per step.
Step 3 — The ladder visualization shows your progress. The metronome automatically advances to the next tempo when you maintain the target.
⚙️ 5. Settings & Appearance
In Settings, you can customize:
Sound Kit — Choose your preferred click sound.
Theme — Switch between Dark and Light themes.
Haptic Feedback — Toggle vibration feedback on supported devices.
Practice Timer — Set default practice duration.

How do Speed Drills work?
Speed Drill mode helps you progressively build speed. Set a start and end BPM, and the app automatically increases tempo at your configured interval. A visual ladder tracks your progress through each tempo step.
Where is my practice data stored?
All practice sessions and settings are stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults. Nothing is sent to external servers. Uninstalling the app removes all data.
Is Beat Forger a one-time purchase?
Yes. Beat Forger is a one-time purchase with no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or recurring charges.
