Summary: Melon Pitcher is a fully offline, privacy-first watermelon ripeness detection app. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All audio processing happens entirely on your device.
This Privacy Policy describes how Melon Pitcher ("we", "our", or "the App") handles information when you use our mobile application. Melon Pitcher is designed to work entirely on your device - no account, no server, no tracking.
By using Melon Pitcher, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Melon Pitcher does not collect any personal information. Specifically:
All detection history (watermelon variety, ripeness level, pitch frequency, Brix value) and app preferences are stored locally on your device using SQLite and UserDefaults, and are never transmitted anywhere.
Melon Pitcher requests access to your device microphone to capture and analyze the pitch frequency of knocking sounds on a watermelon - this is the core functionality of the app. The microphone is only active during an active detection session and stops automatically once three valid knocks are captured. All audio captured by the microphone is processed locally on your device using on-device signal processing (FFT-based pitch analysis).
Raw audio data is automatically and permanently deleted within 2 seconds after the pitch analysis is complete. No audio recordings are ever saved to your device or uploaded to any server.
You can revoke microphone permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
Melon Pitcher stores a local history of your past detections (watermelon variety, ripeness level, pitch frequency, and Brix sweetness estimate) so you can review them later. All detection records are stored exclusively on your device using SQLite. You can delete individual records or clear all local data at any time from the History or Settings page within the app.
All data generated by the App (detection history and app preferences) is stored exclusively on your device. Uninstalling the App, or using the "Clear All Local Data" option in Settings, will permanently delete all locally stored data.
Melon Pitcher does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or social login services. No data is shared with any third party. Network access is only used to open the App Store page for sharing and rating the app.
Melon Pitcher does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is safe for use by all age groups.

Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our end. All your data lives on your device and can be removed simply by uninstalling the App or using the "Clear All Local Data" option in Settings.
