This Privacy Policy describes how HarmonicTune ("we", "our", or "the App") handles information when you use our mobile application. HarmonicTune is a professional smart instrument tuner designed to work entirely on your device — no account, no server, no tracking.
By using HarmonicTune, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
HarmonicTune does not collect any personal information. Specifically:
All tuning history, custom instrument profiles, temperament settings, and app preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS system storage (UserDefaults) and are never transmitted anywhere.
HarmonicTune requests access to your device microphone solely for real-time pitch detection to tune your instrument. Audio is processed in real time and immediately discarded — no audio is ever recorded, saved, stored, or transmitted. The microphone is only active while the tuner screen is open and you are actively tuning. You can revoke microphone permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
HarmonicTune does not require an internet connection and does not make any network requests. The app works completely offline. No data is ever sent to any server.
All data generated by the App (custom tunings, instrument settings, temperament preferences, app preferences) is stored exclusively on your device. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all locally stored data.
HarmonicTune does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or social login services. No data is shared with any third party.
HarmonicTune does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is rated 4+ on the App Store and is safe for all ages.
Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our end. All your data lives on your device and can be removed simply by uninstalling the App.
