How to Use Glisslo

🎹 1. Playing the Touch Strip

Step 1 — Slide your finger across the touch strip keyboard to glide between notes, just like the original analog stylophone.
Step 2 — Tap a key directly to play a fixed pitch. The lower row is the main scale; the upper row adds in-between semitone keys.
Step 3 — In Settings, switch the key labels between numbers (1, 2, 3, 4…) and note letters (C, D, E, F…) to match how you like to read the keyboard.
💡 Tip: Keep your finger on the strip and slide slowly for smooth glissando effects.

🎛 2. Octave, Vibrato & Filters

Octave — Use the Low / Mid / High slider to shift the whole keyboard up or down an octave.
Vibrato — Toggle Vibrato for a gentle pitch wobble while you play.
HPF / LPF — Turn the filter knobs to shape the tone by cutting low or high frequencies.
Volume — Use the volume knob to set the overall output level.

🎚 3. Voice & Sound Effects

Tap the VOICE button to cycle through oscillator waveforms — Square, Sine, Triangle, and Sawtooth — each with a distinct character.

Tap the FX button to cycle through sound effects — Dry (no effect), Reverb, Echo, and Distortion/Fuzz.

⏺ 4. Recording & Library

Step 1 — Tap Record to start capturing your performance. The App records its own synthesizer output, not your microphone.
Step 2 — Tap Record again (it becomes Stop) to finish. Your take is saved automatically.
Step 3 — Open the Library to play back, rename, delete, or share any recording using the iOS share sheet.

🥁 5. Drum Loop Accompaniment

Step 1 — Tap the Drums button to open the drum machine panel.
Step 2 — Pick a pattern (Basic Beat, Rock, Electronic, Hip Hop, House, Funk, Trap, Latin) and adjust the BPM.
Step 3 — Tap Play to start the loop, then close the panel and keep playing — the loop keeps running in the background. A small floating control lets you reopen the panel or stop the loop at any time.

↔️ 6. Layout & Orientation

Glisslo supports both portrait and landscape orientation, with a dedicated split layout for landscape: the keyboard on one side and the control panel on the other. In Settings → Layout, you can swap which side the keyboard appears on, and toggle the touch strip's key label style.

🌓 7. Appearance

Switch between Dark and Light themes at any time in Settings → Appearance. The change applies immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Glisslo use my microphone to record?

No. Glisslo records its own internal synthesizer output, not audio from your device's microphone. The App does not request microphone access.

Does Glisslo collect any personal data?

No. Glisslo does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All processing happens locally on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Can I use Glisslo offline?

Yes. Glisslo works completely offline. All synthesis, recording, playback, and drum loop features function without an internet connection.

Where are my recordings stored?

All recordings and app settings are stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to external servers. Uninstalling the app removes all data.

How do I delete a recording?

Open the Library, then use the delete option on the recording you want to remove.

Why did closing the drum panel not stop the beat?

This is intentional — closing the drum panel lets the loop keep playing in the background so you can keep performing on the keyboard. Use the floating mini control or reopen the panel and tap Stop to end the loop.

Is Glisslo free?

Yes. Glisslo is currently free to download and use, with no account and no in-app purchases.

The app crashed or isn't working properly. What should I do?

Try force-quitting and relaunching the app. If issues persist, please email us at daibou007@gmail.com with details about the problem, your device model, and iOS version.
